Clover Competitions Review

Yes — Clover Competitions is a legitimate UK prize-competition operator.

Why we rate it that way

Clover Competitions is a well-reviewed, low-stakes operator that gets the basics of transparency right: every competition shows its ticket cap, tickets sold and per-person limit, instant-win games show how many prizes are left in each tier, and its draw-results page is kept up to date. Reviewers consistently describe quick payouts, including cash alternatives paid within an hour, and we found no reports of unpaid prizes. The concerns are player protection and accountability: much of the line-up is spinner, scratch and instant-win games, yet self-exclusion is by email, no minimum break length is stated and the site signposts no support services, and earlier reviewers described overspending and an unanswered request to lock an account. There is no complaints procedure, the terms say 'no correspondence or discussion will be entered into', and they still contain unfinished template text. It is a reasonable choice for small-stakes play by over-18s, but set a spend limit before you start.

Is Clover Competitions legit?

It is run by Clover Competitions Ltd (Companies House 13072349), incorporated in December 2020, is listed by DCMS as a Voluntary Code signatory, and holds 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from around 1,380 reviews with frequent reports of fast payouts. It publishes ticket caps, sold counts and current draw results, and offers a free postal entry route. Its weaker areas are player-protection tools that rely on email and the lack of a complaints procedure.
Pros
  • +Ticket caps, tickets sold and per-person limits are shown on every competition, and instant-win games show how many prizes remain in each tier.
  • +Very low entry prices, from 2p to £2.50, with cash alternatives listed on most prizes.
  • +4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from around 1,380 reviews, with recent reviewers describing cash alternatives paid within an hour.
  • +Draw results are updated promptly (latest 9 October 2026) and draw dates are never extended if a competition does not sell out.
Cons
  • −Player protection is thin for a site built around spinner, scratch and instant-win games: self-exclusion is by email, no minimum break length or support services are listed, and reviewers in 2024 and 2025 described overspending and an unanswered request to lock an account.
  • −No complaints procedure, a 'no correspondence or discussion' clause (T&Cs 7.1), bracketed template text left in the live terms, and a Companies House confirmation statement that was overdue from 4 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is Clover Competitions legit?+

Yes. Clover Competitions is run by Clover Competitions Ltd (Companies House 13072349), incorporated in December 2020 and registered in Lowestoft, Suffolk. DCMS lists it as a signatory of the Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, and it holds 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot from around 1,380 reviews. Entry is for over-18s. We rate it 4.1 out of 5, held back by thin player-protection tools and no complaints procedure.

How does Clover Competitions pick winners?+

Draws are run live on Clover's Facebook page: the host enters the lowest and highest ticket numbers into Google's random number generator and matches the result to a ticket. Instant-win prizes sit on specific ticket numbers, and ticket numbers are allocated at random after you buy. Clover says draw dates are never extended, and a draw is brought forward if a competition sells out early.

Can you enter Clover Competitions for free?+

Yes. Its terms (clause 3.11) allow free entry by first- or second-class post to 7 Moleyns Close, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 3BG, including your full name, address, phone number, email and any answer required. Each entry must be posted separately and received before the closing date, and Clover does not acknowledge postal entries. Entry is for over-18s.

Does Clover Competitions have spending limits?+

Yes. Its Responsible Play page says you can set daily, weekly or monthly spend limits from your account's spending-controls page or by emailing info@clovercompetitions.co.uk, and you can self-exclude by email, which pauses your account and stops email and SMS marketing. It does not state a minimum length for a break or link to support services.

Why is PrizeDrawsDaily's rating different from Clover Competitions' Trustpilot score?+

Trustpilot averages star ratings; we score the risk to you. Clover earns 63 out of 100 on our seven factors, which would be 4.3, and two structural caps hold it at 4.1: its terms say 'no correspondence or discussion will be entered into', and it is a listed DCMS Code signatory whose site does not show several Code measures, such as a complaints process and signposting to support services. Its 4.8 Trustpilot score reflects genuinely good payout experiences.

In their own words

“Suffolk prize competition site with 2p to £2.50 entries on Rolex watches, metal detectors, tech, cash and instant-win games, drawn live on Facebook.”

Trust Notes

PDD Trust Score 4.1/5 · Trustpilot 4.8. We score risk to you, not the star average. What earns the score: Clover shows the ticket cap, sold count and per-person limit on every competition, lists how many instant wins are left in each tier, keeps its draw results current and never extends a draw date. Reviewers consistently report quick payouts, cash alternatives are listed on most prizes, and it is a DCMS Voluntary Code signatory with an account spend-limit page. What holds it back: for a site this heavy on spinner, scratch and instant-win games, protection is thin. Self-exclusion is by email, no minimum break or support services are listed, and there is no credit-card policy. There is no complaints procedure, clause 7.1 says 'no correspondence or discussion will be entered into', the terms still contain bracketed template text, and the company's confirmation statement was overdue at Companies House. Those caps hold a 63/100 score at 4.1. Checked 11 October 2026.
