Why we rate it that way

Top Trade Competitions is a tool-focused operator that publishes ticket caps, a winners list and its company details. Top Trade Group UK Ltd (16184561) shows as active at Companies House with accounts made up to January 2026, and the Norwich address in the terms matches the registered office. Draws use Google's random number generator on a Facebook live stream, instant-win ticket numbers are assigned when you pay, and the winners page lists names, ticket numbers and photos, including a Mini Cooper R50. Trustpilot reviewers write mostly about prizes and cash arriving quickly. The only review under four stars concerns a taxi charge the company says it never made. Gaps remain. The site offers no way to cap your own spending or pause your account, links to no GamCare-type support, and gives no complaints procedure beyond a help email. The free postal entry clause stops at the words 'to the Promoter:' with no address printed after it. The company renamed itself in July 2026, yet the terms still name the old entity. One £30 instant win in December 2025 went unpaid after the winner emailed bank details; the company said the email reached the wrong inbox, and the winner later confirmed payment. With 81 reviews, the record is short. On current evidence it looks like a sound small operator for tradespeople after tools: start with a 25p site-credit ticket and set a budget yourself, since the site will not set one for you.

About Top Trade Competitions

Top Trade Competitions is a Norwich-based prize-draw site built around power tools. Listings lean on Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and Wera kit, with site-credit draws, mystery bundles and the odd vehicle such as a VW Caddy Custom. Tickets cost 25p to £1.99, each competition shows tickets sold against a cap, and the current competitions all close on Sunday evening with a live draw on Facebook. It holds 4.7 on Trustpilot from about 80 reviews (October 2026), with many reviewers describing fast cash payouts. The company dates from January 2025 and was renamed in July 2026, covered below.

Is Top Trade Competitions legit?

The site is run by Top Trade Group UK Ltd, a Norwich company registered in January 2025 with filings up to date, and its 4.7 Trustpilot score comes from a small base. No reviewer alleges a prize that was never paid, draws are streamed live on Facebook, and named winners sit on the site with ticket numbers and photos. The weaker points: there are no spend limits or self-exclusion tools, the postal entry clause omits the address, and the terms still carry the company's former name. The record is encouraging but short.
Pros
  • +4.7 on Trustpilot from about 80 reviews (October 2026), with 80 of the 81 at five stars and winners describing cash paid within minutes or the same day.
  • +Every competition shows tickets sold against a fixed cap, from 150 on a £50 site-credit draw to 21,325 on the DeWalt SCREAM Machine draw, with a per-person limit shown on the Mystery Milwaukee page (1,000 tickets) and set per competition under clause 3.4.
  • +A winners page running to 13 pages of names, ticket numbers and photos, including a VW Caddy Custom and a Mini Cooper R50, plus Facebook live draws using Google's random number generator.
  • +Cheap entry for the prize class: tickets between 25p and £1.99, with cash alternatives offered on larger prizes and taken by at least one reviewer.
Cons
  • −No spend limit, self-exclusion tool or GamCare link anywhere on the home, competition, terms, FAQ, contact or acceptable-use pages, and no complaints procedure beyond a help email.
  • −The free postal entry clause (3.11) names no address after 'to the Promoter:', and the FAQ page does not mention free entry at all.
  • −Top Trade Group UK Ltd was only registered in January 2025, renamed from Top Trade Competitions Ltd in July 2026 and now lists a used-car SIC code, while the terms still name the old company.
  • −A short record: 81 reviews in total, over 20 in the past year.

Frequently asked questions

Is Top Trade Competitions legit?+

Its winners page runs to 13 pages of named winners with ticket numbers, and the 4.7 Trustpilot score sits on 81 reviews with no claim of a prize never paid. The operator, Top Trade Group UK Ltd (16184561), was incorporated in January 2025 and its filings are current. Draws are streamed live on Facebook. The caveats are a young company with a recent name change, a missing address in the postal entry clause, and no spend-limit or self-exclusion tools.

How do Top Trade Competitions draws work?+

You pick a competition, pay for your tickets and the system assigns your ticket numbers at random once payment clears. On the Mystery Milwaukee page, instant prizes run from £1 site credit to a £500 mystery bundle, and it closes at 8:30pm with a live draw at 9pm on Sunday 1 November. The end prize is drawn live on Facebook (the FAQ also mentions YouTube) using Google's random number generator. Winners are contacted by phone or email within three days and have 21 days to claim.

Can you enter Top Trade Competitions for free?+

Post a handwritten, unenclosed postcard, one per envelope, with your name, address, contact details and your Top Trade username; you need an active account, and it must arrive before the closing date. Clause 3.11 of the terms sets this out but does not print the address to send it to; the only address in the terms is the registered office at 4 Hornet Court, Norwich NR6 6HJ. Hand-delivered entries are refused, and the FAQ page says nothing about free entry.

How quickly does Top Trade Competitions pay out?+

The terms give no timescale beyond identity checks before a bank transfer, but reviewers describe speed. A December 2024 winner took a £7.5k cash alternative on a £10k kitchen and says it landed within minutes; a March 2025 winner was paid £100 the same day; a dartboard and a 50-inch TV arrived the next day. The exception is a £30 instant win in December 2025 that went unpaid after the winner emailed bank details; the company said the email reached the wrong inbox, and the winner later confirmed payment.

Does Top Trade Competitions offer a cash alternative?+

Yes on larger prizes. Reviewers report taking cash instead of a kitchen, and the winners page lists a VW Caddy Custom 'or £7k Cash Alternative'. Under clause 6.7 the company may also substitute cash if a prize becomes unavailable, and clause 7.3 lets it offer site credit instead of a prize claimed within 21 days. Check the product page for the cash figure before you enter.
