Lightning Competitions
£500 cash for 40p
The quick answer
£500 cash for 40p is a UK prize draw run by Lightning Competitions. The headline prize is £500 cash for 40p. Tickets cost £0.40 each, and with a maximum of 2,000 tickets the odds of winning the headline prize with a single ticket are around 1 in 2,000. The draw takes place on 5 November 2026 at 21:30. Under UK law, a paid prize competition like this must offer a free entry route or a skill-based question with the same odds as a paid ticket; always check the operator's own terms for the free route — our free postal entry guide explains how to find it.
